A new iCarMode update is now available, focusing on clearer audio behavior and general stability.
🎵 Improved Radio & Podcast Playback
Radio and podcast audio will now continue playing alongside navigation instructions without being cut off. This should make listening while navigating more reliable and keep you focused on the road ahead.
You may notice the most consistent behavior when using Mapbox, as Google’s SDK currently handles audio differently. We’ll keep updating iCarMode as Google enhances their SDK.
⚙️ New Audio Preference Setting
A new setting has been added that lets you choose how navigation interacts with your audio:
- Dock audio during navigation prompts
- Pause audio instead
This gives you control over whichever approach you find more comfortable.
