Version 7.0 was released to the AppStore.
This version is a major release - I'm quite sure many of you waited for these features, some of you even contacted me and asked for them - and after a few months of hard work - they are finally here!
Turn-by-Turn navigation
Finally a real turn by turn navigation implemented inside iCarMode, no more back and forward to an external navigation app (unless you really want to 😉).

Well, if you like to navigate & still have control on the music/radio station or podcast that is playing in the background - now you can with the familiar floating player built-in.

Custom background
Many of you asked to allow more background templates besides the standard day & night templates.
In this version you can do even more than that. You can choose any image you like as a background, I'll be really happy to see the results 😀
These are the simple steps to change the background:
Siri Shortcuts
Previous versions allowed you to automate simple iCarMode functionality using Shortcuts App.
The classic example was to launch iCarMode when connecting to the car's Bluetooth and maybe playing some music.
This version allows you to create shortcuts that also include navigation to a certain favorite destination, play a specific radio station or podcast.
If you use these shortcuts, Siri will try to guess when and where to suggest you to run them.

Podcast Player
Yes, you are right. The podcast player was added in version 6...it was added as an in-app purchase which many of you purchased and use.
It allows you to add a list of your favorite podcasts and listen to them on road, both online or offline after pre-downloading the episodes.

In this version, the podcast player, like all other features is open for all subscribers.
Subscription
Wait! what? what subscription? well, in short, iCarMode changes the payment model to allow further development - to subscription.
If you purchased iCarMode in one of the previous versions, you don't have to subscribe, but if you won't - you will also miss the above features and many more to come. Needless to say, you will be offered a discounted price in appreciation of your previous invest in the app.
If you are a new user, you can try iCarMode for a few days to see if you like it 1st.
