Keep death off the roads with an app is the title of a punching post but not without giving an obvious solution:<\/p>\n

\"...When you are driving, there are only a few of your phone\u2019s functions you might legitimately need. Voice calls, satellite navigation and, at a pinch, music and podcasts (you don\u2019t need to go shopping, check your stock portfolio or watch films).<\/p>\n

Therefore it would be relatively simple for mobile phones to detect when you are driving and switch to a much simpler interface \u2014 a few basic choices with only one or two buttons, each half the size of the screen (technically called a \u2018fat finger\u2019 design). When you connect to your car\u2019s Bluetooth, or when you reach a certain speed, the phone should default to this much simpler format...\"<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I especially like the final point of Rory Sutherland<\/a> article, it's so true:<\/p>\n
